Managing Attorney, Beth Roland, has been a Florida Bar Board Certified as an expert in Elder Law since 2023.Ā She is passionate about ensuring the dignity and independence of Floridaās senior and disabled population, and about educating the public about guardianship and its less restrictive alternatives. Beth understands firsthand the unique difficulties experienced by the "sandwich generation" - she navigates daily the many logistical and emotional challenges associated with raising young adults while overseeing a parent's health and safety.
Beth is experienced in all areas of Elder Law, with her current focus being on her guardianship practice. Beth earned her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sweet Briar College. She was first licensed to practice in Virginia in 1992.
In Florida, Beth was recognized in 2020 by Florida Attorney General, Ashley Moody, and in 2019 by Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, for her expertise in advocating on behalf of Floridaās most vulnerable populations. In 2021 she was awarded the prestigious The Florida Bar Presidentās Pro Bono Service Award for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which was preceded by the following: 2018 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Officeās Excellence in Advocacy Award for Children with Special Needs, 2019 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Officeās Childrenās Champion Award, and 2020 Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office & Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Barās Rising to the Challenge to Provide Pro Bono Service Award. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 Beth received similar accolades from the FloridaĀ Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office.
Beth is a member of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Litigation, Elder Law, and Appellate Practice sections of The Florida Bar, and of the Elder Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association.Ā She also serves on the Advisory Committee for theĀ Florida Guardian Support Network, and on the Board of Directors for the Family First Firm Foundation.
