CEO & Founding Attorney
Geoff Hoatson
Geoffrey Hoatson is driven by experiences in his own family to protect the seniors in yours.
For Geoff Hoatson, this practice is a calling. He watched his own grandparents lose everything to long-term care expenses, financial exploitation, and a lawsuit. The lawsuit stemmed from a crash caused by one of his grandmothers at age 83. Even further back, Geoff’s great-grandfather was disinherited by the “deathbed wife” of his great-great-grandfather. That decision created generational ripples throughout the Hoatson family tree.
Geoff has seen firsthand how emotionally and financially devastating aging can be when seniors face it alone. Because of this, he has dedicated his career to helping seniors and their families. He focuses on guiding them through the hidden challenges that come with growing older.
With this focus in mind, Geoff chose to attend Emory University, one of the top 20 law schools in the country. He graduated in 2008. In 2009, he launched his own practice, formerly called Hoatson Legal. He later renamed the firm to Family First Firm. Since then, Family First Firm has helped thousands of families each year. The firm focuses on long-term care planning, asset protection, and navigating the arduous probate process. They provide peace of mind through a commitment to client experience and empathy.
